The Image Processing Center “IPC”

CLS Group’s Image Processing Center (IPC) is the bridge between your paper documents or online document collection and your database or document repository. With IPC you can simply and effectively:

• Scan documents
  
• Convert scanned documents to a digital format
• OCR or Mark Sense Process the scanned documents
• Pre-populate the profile with standard or a mix of standard and entered data
• When a document manager is present, import the image and full-text document automatically.
• Import documents and associated metadata held in database or flat files (CSV’s) automatically building Profiles
• Import a document Collection using the DOS file structure (directory labels) to fill the metadata field on import - including the use of nested directories and their associated labels
• Move data collections including files, file folder structures, metadata and security (alterable via simple .INI interface) to alternate libraries or databases.

Features of the IPC Solution:

• Incorporates complete linkage with the Interwoven NT Repository
• Ability to use Mark Sense Capability to determine whether marks or signatures are present on the digital image files
• Allows the user to verify, modify, or delete a scanned document prior to saving or importing it
• Automatically generates a document profile in document management systems such as Interwoven’s WorkSite
• All user tasks associated with scanning and importing can be controlled with just 4 command buttons
• Quickly and easily converts paper documents into electronic documents with 99% accuracy
• Facilitates for the inclusion of all document types, including PDF, TIF, CAD, Voice (and any others) in the document management repository.
